Ingredients
  

For the Pulled Pork:

  • 2 pounds of pre-made pulled pork store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup of barbecue sauce optional
  • ½ cup of chicken or beef broth

For the Tacos:

  • 12 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage or lettuce
  • 2 avocados sliced
  • 1 cup crumbled queso fresco or shredded cheese
  • ½ cup salsa your choice of heat
  • Fresh lime wedges

Optional Toppings:

  • Diced onions
  • Chopped cilantro
  • Sour cream
  • Pickled jalapeños

Prepare Pulled Pork at Home (Optional)

  • Rub a pork shoulder with your favorite spice blend.
  • Cook low and slow in a slow cooker or oven until tender.
  • Shred and mix with barbecue sauce, then store for the trip.

Set Up the Cooking Area

  • Prepare a campfire with hot embers or set up a portable stove at medium heat.

Reheat the Pulled Pork

  • Place the Dutch oven on the heat source.
